‘Jade the Jeep’ Suffers Breakage but Keeps on Truckin’

By -

When you drive a Jeep, you can always find somebody to help. Even if they’re complete and total strangers.

If you’ve been following along with YouTuber iamjake and his killer Jeep build, you’re already quite familiar with how far it’s come. And thus far, “Jade” is a perfect symbol of why we love the world of Jeep so much. Despite the fact that this old ute’s owner came in knowing little about it, he’s received an incredible amount of support from the community. And that includes his most recent journey, which didn’t exactly go 100 percent as planned.

Jake and Jade’s latest journey led them to Claremont, New Hampshire to meet up with another Jeep fanatic. And like their previous travels, this happened after another like-minded enthusiast reached out and offered to show them around the local trails. This time around, Jake’s wheeling buddy is sporting a JK with merely a 2.5-inch lift and some beefier tires, albeit on a relatively rare “Islander” edition Wrangler.

With that short intro out of the way, it was time to get dirty. And the pair certainly do that, traversing some pretty gorgeous (and rough) terrain. A mere 10 minutes later, one simple rock managed to break the front driver’s side leaf spring shackle. In all fairness, it was stock, anyway. And luckily, this wasn’t the end of this particular journey.

Thanks to one of the host’s Jeeping buddies, a new shackle was delivered post haste. With the help of his newfound friends, Jake gets Jade repaired in no time and back on the trails. But above all, this little clip is a shining example of why we love the Jeep community. No matter what happens, there’s always somebody there to lend a helping hand. And who can argue with that?
