Jeep Sweeps German Off Road Awards

The roots for Jeep might lie in America, but the popularity of the nameplate clearly has a much broader reach.

Take, for example, the news of Jeep sweeping Off Road’s list as the top choices among 126 vehicles offered in Germany in the 4×4 and SUV categories, as highlighted in a Business.Scoop report.

Topping the list were the Jeep Renegade for best sub-compact 4×4, the Jeep Wrangler for best off-road 4×4, and the Grand Cherokee for favorite imported luxury SUV.

In fact, the Renegade pulled in 45% of all votes cast in its categories by the readers of Off Road. The Wrangler, one of the most iconic 4x4s in the world, earned 38% of the readers’ votes. In total, more than 85,000 Off Road readers in Germany cast their votes in the three categories.

Impressive, huh?

Of course, Jeep’s global popularity really doesn’t come as a big surprise for many here at JK Forum. But we still can revel in the love nonetheless.
