Jeep Wrangler Celebrity Customs Builders Race Against the Clock

By -

Competition is down to the wire, but we get a good look at some really cool surprises in store for the contestants in latest episode.

We’re in the home stretch of Jeep’s first-ever web competitionJeep Wrangler Celebrity CustomsThe contest pits a trio of celebrities and notable builders against each other in a bid to build the coolest custom Jeep Wrangler. And this time around, it’s pretty obvious that all of the competition is feeling the infamous TV-time crunch.

When we last saw these Jeep Wrangler builds, they were just beginning to receive some pretty wild mods. Sirius XM host and part-time WWE wrestler Maria Menounos and the folks at DCD Customs completely repainted their entry in a gorgeous blue hue. They also installed a fold-away makeup station in the dash! But DCD is also surprising Menounos with some sweet pinstriping on the glove box door that includes her name.

Meanwhile, baseball legend Alex Rodriguez was overseeing the installation of a custom subwoofer box that looks like a modified Jeep front end. Instead of going to the trouble of painting his entry, the crew at West Coast Customs wrapped it in matte black, which, of course, has the same sinister effect. We also get a peek at the Jeep’s lift, massive new wheels, and custom interior.

But the wildest build of all might just be the one coming from restaurateurs Andrew Steinthal and Chris Stang, who’re paired up with Autocraft NYC. Those masterminds managed to make the duo’s dream of a roll-out ice cream machine, butcher block, and fridge come true. And it looks pretty freaking cool, too.

Clearly, the finale of this intense build-off is going to be a good one. And we don’t have to wait long since it’s set to air on Sept. 27. That’s also when fans will be able to cast their own vote for their favorite. The fan favorite results will be announced Oct. 1.
