Katzkin is celebrating Mopar partnership by giving away a leather interior package.

The new Jeep Gladiator will undoubtedly be one of the stars of the huge FCA display at the upcoming 2019 Chicago Auto Show, but in the Mopar display, there will be one particularly luxurious trail rated pickup. Katzkin has been working with Mopar to provide premium aftermarket leather seating surfaces since 2003, so the company equipped a new Gladiator with one of their newest packages to showcase the partnership.

Best of all, the Katzkin is using the Chicago Auto Show to announce a new contest that is being held with local media celebrities, with modern Jeep owners having a chance to win a leather seating package for their own SUV.

Leather-clad Gladiator

The Mopar brand will have its own display at the Chicago Auto Show and in that area, there is a 2019 Jeep Gladiator in Sting Gray. It has an array of Mopar parts, including tubular doors, a bike rack and LED off-road lights mounted on the front bumper, but it also has a key upgrade from Katzkin. That is, of course, the company’s Tuscany Ink leather seating package with the brand’s unique ‘hex tech’ inserts, light tungsten stitching and an embroidered Jeep grille on the seatbacks.

While the Gladiator is offered with leather seating, the Katzkin material has a higher-end look and feel, perfect for the Jeep pickup owner who is looking for more comfort during the daily drive.

“Katzkin is the only custom-focused leather interior manufacturer partnered with OEMs and our Jeep-specific programs are only getting more creative,” said Johnson.  “We’ve had the opportunity to work with the Mopar and the FCA Design Team to create complete customization packages for consumers that include stitching patterns, multiple color selections, nameplate logos and unique textures that open the channels to a customer’s true personality and blending it directly with the vehicle – it’s a very exciting time.”

Win Katzkin for Your Jeep

As part of their program with Mopar, Katzkin is running an Instagram promotion to give the lucky owner of a 2010-or-newer Jeep a premium leather package for their ride. The promotion is formally being hosted by automotive media members Paul Brian and Lauren Fix. The Katzkin press release refers to Brian as “Chicago’s own resident car expert and beloved radio personality” while Fix is a well-known car expert, author, and television host.

The details of the promotion will be announced on the YouTube series hosted by Brian and Fix, titled “His Turn – Her Turn” and it will be running during the Chicago Auto Show. Entrants should post a picture of their 2010-or-newer Jeep with an explanation of why they need a Katzkin leather interior package, being sure to include the #KatzkinJeep hashtag with their posts.

"Before I was old enough to walk, my dad was taking me to various types of racing events, from local drag racing to the Daytona 500," says Patrick Rall, a lifetime automotive expert, diehard Dodge fan, and respected auto journalist for over 10 years. "He owned a repair shop and had a variety of performance cars when I was young, but by the time I was 16, he was ready to build me my first drag car – a 1983 Dodge Mirada that ran low 12s. I spent 10 years traveling around the country, racing with my dad by my side. While we live in different areas of the country, my dad still drag races at 80 years old in the car that he built when I was 16 while I race other vehicles, including my 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and my 1972 Dodge Demon 340.

"Although I went to college for accounting, my time in my dad’s shop growing up allowed me the knowledge to spend time working as a mechanic before getting my accounting degree, at which point I worked in the office of a dealership group. While I was working in the accounting world, I continued racing and taking pictures of cars at the track. Over time, I began showing off those pictures online and that led to my writing.

"Ten years ago, I left the accounting world to become a full-time automotive writer and I am living proof that if you love what you do, you will never “work” a day in your life," adds Rall, who has clocked in time as an auto mechanic, longtime drag racer and now automotive journalist who contributes to nearly a dozen popular auto websites dedicated to fellow enthusiasts.

"I love covering the automotive industry and everything involved with the job. I was fortunate to turn my love of the automotive world into a hobby that led to an exciting career, with my past of working as a mechanic and as an accountant in the automotive world provides me with a unique perspective of the industry.

"My experience drag racing for more than 20 years coupled with a newfound interest in road racing over the past decade allows me to push performance cars to their limit, while my role as a horse stable manager gives me vast experience towing and hauling with all of the newest trucks on the market today.

"Being based on Detroit," says Rall, "I never miss the North American International Auto Show, the Woodward Dream Cruise and Roadkill Nights, along with spending plenty of time raising hell on Detroit's Woodward Avenue with the best muscle car crowd in the world.
