New Jeep Wrangler JL Goes Off-Roading

By -

The new Jeep Wrangler JL is out and ready to get dirty. See how it handles the trails in this video.

The Jeep is the perfect off-roading vehicle. There’s nothing quite like it: Being behind the wheel of a Wrangler JL, riding at a 45 degree angle, looking up at the sky, and slowly climbing more vertical…it gets your heart pumping. Jeep has always had the task to make both a road-worthy and dirt-worthy machine. When off-roading, often the further you push the vehicle the more fun you have with it, and the new Wrangler JL is no exception.

2018 Jeep Wrangler JL

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Rubicon will be released December 13, 2017. In this video, Roman Mica from The Fast Lane Car channel gives us a first look at the upgrades Jeep has made to the Wrangler JL. The 2018 model will offer a 2 liter turbo hybrid engine, boast 270 hp, 295 lb/tq and is powered by a 8-speed transmission. It offers 2 inch wider fenders to allow for 35 inch tires without a lift. This is a huge improvement and we are so happy Jeep did this, as many Wrangler owners want 35’s but don’t want to lift their Jeep.

It has a fast and easy windshield that can be put down with 4 simple bolts. There is also an option on the new Rubicon for an automatic top that can function at up to 60 mph. The hood no longer flutters at speed and the front end has had a complete redesign, with some sexy headlights. So, all of these improvements and they made it lighter, too…200 pounds lighter, to be exact, with aluminum doors.

We love what Jeep has done and can’t wait to get behind the wheel of a Wrangler JL. So, tell us, what do you think of the new Wrangler JL?
