As one of the most popular vehicles in the world, good looks, capability, and super sales numbers aren’t the only things the Jeep Wrangler can gloat about.

In addition to those attributes, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has also found that the SUV is one of the safest on the market when it comes to front-end crashes, according to an NBC Bay Area News report.

Among seven SUVs tested from the 2015 model year, the Wrangler was one of only three that performed well in the test, earning a “good” rating, the highest awarded to vehicles. The other two SUVS that fared well during the test include the Nissan Murano, which also earned a “good” rating, and the Ford Flex that got the second best rating, which is “acceptable.”

On the down side, the Wrangler didn’t win a “Top Safety Pick” in the testing because it offered only “marginal” side and rear crash protection, according to the report. But given the uniqueness of the Wrangler’s design, which has made it one of the most popular vehicles in the world, that really should come as no surprise.
