No Surprise at All: February was Another Great Month for Jeep
We know. We sound like a broken record saying Jeep broke a record…again.
It did, though. Oh boy, did it. Although FCA US LLC as a whole enjoyed its best February sales since 2006 by selling a total of 182,879 vehicles, Jeep had its best February sales ever. Yes, ever.
More than a third of FCA’s February sales – 68,228 units, to be exact – were Jeeps. That’s a 23-percent increase for the legendary off-road brand relative to February 2015. The biggest contributor to that substantial upswing was the Compass; dealers moved 54 percent more of those this February than they did in the same period last year. According to FCA, “The Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Patriot and Jeep Compass each recorded their best February sales ever.”
Even the Grand Cherokee got in on the action by being 12 percent more popular than it was in February 2015 and hitting its highest sales volume for that month since 2005.
