Jeep Driver Steps Out to Rage, Forgets How the Gear Shifter Works

Dash cam captures angry New Yorker who forgets to put his Jeep in park while stepping out to rage.

Popular with Russians everywhere (due to how Russian law works compared to U.S. law), dashcams have been able to capture the most wonderful and most absurd of situations. Everything from meteors exploding the sky, to tsunamis rushing over highways, dash cams have become yet another window into life as it happens.

And sometimes, it’s not always someone living their best life. The video by YouTuber Nicole X presents a dashcam video of a Jeep Grand Cherokee driver in New York who’s clearly not happy with the driver behind him.

The 45-second capture shows the driver of the Grand Cherokee failing to yield to the poster. As the footage lacks sound, we have to presume there was some honking on the part of Nicole.

A flipped finger and a sudden stop later, the driver gets out of his Jeep to yell at Nicole for honking at him, not realizing (or caring) he forgot to put his vehicle in park. The Jeep slowly rolls backwards, bumping the front of Nicole’s vehicle. And what does the angry driver do? Look down for half a second before trundling off back into his Jeep to rage some more down the road.

The footage stops a few seconds after the angry Jeep driver stops at the crosswalk a few feet from where the accident took place. We don’t know what happened after, but we’re pretty sure Nicole, who’s got quite a few dash cam videos of drivers behaving badly in her native Buffalo, New York, has enough evidence to be properly compensated for whatever damage the Jeep did to her.

Let this be a lesson to us all: dash cams are our friends. Road rage never will be.
