Grand Cherokee Limited X: Jeep’s Sportiest Luxury Offering Yet
Armed with a Mickey Mouse wand, YouTuber Mike’s Car Info does an ultra in-depth review of the 2019 Jeep.
Until the Grand Wagoneer returns in a few years, the Grand Cherokee is the big daddy of the Jeep lineup. Whether you want luxury, performance, or a balance of the two, the Grand Cherokee can take you there, on the road or off the map.
And if you happen to be in the market for a 2019 Grand Cherokee Limited X, then you’re going to want to block off some time to watch YouTuber Mike Durland of Mike’s Car Info go ultra in-depth with the big Jeep.
“Today, I’m in Whiteville, North Carolina, visiting Vann Underwood Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram,” Durland says, “and I’m checking out a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee in the Limited X trim level. Now, this is a four-wheel drive vehicle, and the Limited X is a combination of cosmetic and functional features, so let’s go ahead and check it out.”
So begins the extensive review of the Grand Cherokee, where he uses a wand with a yellow Mickey Mouse hand to point out specific details of the Jeep. The SUV is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 paired with an eight-speed automatic, which delivers 295 horses and 260 lb-ft of torque to the corners via the Quadra-Trac II system.
The Grand Cherokee Limited X is one of two new trims for 2019 (the other being the Upland 4×2), and comes with goodies like an SRT hood, 20-inch Granite Crystal wheels wrapped in Pirelli Scorpions, the front and rear ends of the Summit trim, a dual-pane sunroof, and more.
“So, what’s funny to me is I’m six feet tall,” says Durland, “and I have the seat all the way back, all the way down, and I feel like a toddler because there’s so much room here that I just feel like I’m small compared to how much room is in here.” Durland adds that the Grand Cherokee Limited X can accommodate anyone big or small thanks to the fully adjustable seating and telescoping steering column.
The black leather interior (which Durland wasn’t sure if it was leather until halfway through the video) features heated seating, black wood trim, FCA’s Uconnect infotainment system, and plenty of space to haul your friends and/or all the necessities for a big camping trip.
“There you have it: 2019 Grand Cherokee Limited X. [It’s] the first [time] I’ve ever seen one of these,” says Durland. “Really nice looking and comfortable and sporty. Love the hood. Love the exhaust pipes. Love the seats. The Uconnect system is great, as always, [with] clarity and all that stuff. It just makes you feel like you’re in a quality machine.”
