Rugged Ridge SEMA Jeep Giveaway

Jody Sedrick walked into the SEMA Show ready to talk to vendors and get the latest on all the off-road products. He probably wasn’t expecting to have his life changed.

But on a fateful November day, Jody walked up to the Rugged Ridge/Omix-ADA booth to look at some of the classic Jeeps. He was handed a key that could possibly start a tricked-out JK Wrangler with the latest in the Rugged Ridge line. It was truly a Wrangler to lust for. Up front was a prototype grille that looked mean and hungry for action. The Performance Vented Hood was installed and used Rugged Ridge Hood Latches to keep it secure. It even had the Low-Mount Snorkel ready to go.

Attached to the brand-new Stamped Steel Bumper was a Rugged Ridge Winch with Synthetic rope ready to pull the new owner out of trouble. BFGoodrich Mud Terrain T/A Tires were mounted to Rugged Ridge’s XHD Wheels in Gunmetal with their Satin Black Bolt-on Wheel Protectors on all five wheels. All four driven wheels are covered by the Hurricane Flat Fenders and light shines through the dust and night with a full set of their LED lights.

Many people received keys that day. Many had tried to start the beastly Jeep. Most of the keys were teasers, as the Jeep would start and run for a couple of seconds before shutting off, indicating a non-winning key.

Jody received one of the last two keys doled out that day. Could Jody be the lucky one?

Jody looked at the Wrangler and climbed in; turning the key, he expected it to start and stop within two seconds — just like what happened to everyone else. With such a kitted-out Jeep, who would expect it to keep running except for that last guy with the last key? But as he prepared to hop out, Jody noticed that the Jeep was still running. He looked over and the emcee yelled out that Jody had just won this amazing JK.

Not a bad day at the 2014 SEMA Show, eh?
