Sleeper CJ-7 Embarrasses Ferrari on the Street

Sleepers come in all shapes and sizes, with some factory sleepers like the Chevy SS, and some custom-built ones such as this CJ-7 with 572 cubic inches of American muscle. Squaring up against a Ferrari Testarossa seems like an unfair fight, with Italy’s finest having an eye-watering top speed and huge power from the 12-cylinder engine. However, behind the seven slats of signature Jeep grille lies a V8 that’ll humble just about anything on the road today.

Now that you know the back story on these two, the outcome of the race is somewhat predictable. Both take off like rockets, but the Jeep runs away with it and leaves the Ferrari in its own tire smoke. Clearly the Jeep wasn’t an overnight build, but the level of satisfaction must be equal to winning a small lottery.

Think he’s got enough engine? Apparently the Jeep owner thinks otherwise. We hear that he’s upped the engine size from 572 to 632 cubic inches! Some people don’t understand what excess is. We like those kind of people the most.
