Smittybilt Every Man Challenge Mega Gallery 1 – The Start
The Smittybilt Every Man Challenge: where the guy in his trail rig can get a chance to qualify for the Nitto Tires King of the Hammers. The field is full of guys like you and me, mixed among some sprinklings of pro drivers like Luke Johnson, Brad Lovell, Ricky Johnson, and Jessi Combs.
Just like the Nitto Tires King of the Hammers, the Smittybilt Every Man Challenge drivers start out in pairs separated by 30-seconds. The start is also where some of the less experienced drivers can get a rude introduction to the Hammers, seeing as just after the 90-degree turn is a jump that can cause cars to nose over if they go too fast. Fortunately, most of the drivers took it easy over the jump this year and there were no dramatic crashes before the featured obstacles.
