Both pro and Joe challenge the world’s toughest one day race in the Smittybilt Every Man Challenge. While this year’s race was going off, we went out and discovered the feature known as Chocolate Thunder, a path that is usually ridiculously challenging.

Most years, Chocolate Thunder is rutted, full of gullies, and can takes out even the best rigs in the Nitto Tires King of the Hammers. However, thanks to rains the week before, Chocolate Thunder was filled in by silt and water that flowed down the path. It still makes for some pretty impressive driving (and pictures!) though.

The finish at this year’s race didn’t disappoint. It was great to see Brandon Currie take the win in the same rig as John Currie had for the past three years. Also, it was nice to see first time driver and 4700 Spec class winner, Luke Johnson, take the win while his father, Rick Johnson, came in second.
