How-To Spotlight: Blacked-Out JK Headlights

Blacked-out Headlights May Just Put You Over the Edge. Here’s One More Way to Set Your JK Apart

As with most modifications, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Obviously, the same holds true when it comes to making modifications to the headlamps. Blacking out the JK’s headlamps can add a touch of contrast to your Jeep. And it can set you apart from the next Jeep in line.

Modifications on the JK, in many instances, are going to be fairly quick and painless. This particular modification aligns with that idea. Fortunately, it takes no time at all, and can be done inexpensively.

Today’s How-To Spotlight article guides you through the few steps you’ll need to follow in order to tackle this project. Of course, if you are going to black out the headlights, you may as well take the next logical step and black out the tail lamps, as well. The process is virtually the same, and you can follow the same basic steps.

From black on black, to black on white, to all the body colors in between, this will be a modification that you won’t regret. And if you somehow do, making the change back to stock couldn’t be easier.

Have you taken on this modification? Post a few pictures and let us see what your JK is sporting in the headlamp department. The darker the better!
