Man Survives Tornado in Jeep

I’ve heard about some amazing stories of survival in a Jeep, but hearing about Andy Wallace’s recent ordeal in a Grand Cherokee is certainly one of the most chilling ones I’ve heard in a while. The North Carolina resident was recently caught in a category-two tornado that lifted his Jeep in the air as he was trying to escape the storm that completely destroyed his home.

Jeep and Mopar have teamed up to introduce six concept models that will likely have Jeep enthusiasts considering even more custom options to tackle those trails. Then again, that’s really second nature when it comes to owning a Jeep, right? Still, the Jeeps, which made their official debut at the annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, should up the ante even more. From a Wrangler bearing the code name “Level Red”, to an up-fitted Cherokee painted in Satin Silver, the Jeeps feature a range of custom features aimed at enhancing the thrill of off-roading.

The Will to Continue at the Parker 425

We watched the 1784 Jeep Cherokee drive across the field in front of us, cutting the pit course of the Parker 425. We had assumed it was just a newbie who got lost or somebody desperate to get fuel. As I continued to watch, I realized more was going on. It turns out the driver shut off the truck to make sure he didn’t kill the fuel pump, but it failed to restart. To make matters worse, this wasn’t even his pit spot.
