With the next generation Wrangler getting ready to begin production in just a few short years, Jeep’s CEO Mike Manley stated that a pickup based Wrangler might still be in the cards.

Rumors that Jeep might be developing a pickup have been buzzing since 2005 when the company unveiled the Wrangler-based Gladiator pickup, but back then, Chrysler was so over its head with money issues that the idea didn’t make sense. Now, with more financial clearance, it appears a Jeep pickup might be on the horizon.
