Topless Jeep Car Wash is a Terrible Idea, Still Looks Fun

By -

Why would anybody drive through an automatic car wash in their Jeep, sans doors and top? Because it’s hilarious, that’s why.

Admit it—you’ve thought about driving your Jeep through a car wash, sans top, at least once. But as always, that thing called common sense stopped you. Clearly, this is one of those terrible, stupid ideas that we think might be fun. And perhaps a convenient way of cleaning up all that mud after a day on the trails. But in the end, getting sprayed with that weird pink lava wax and slapped in the face with brushes isn’t our idea of fun.

However, watching YouTuber BlacknWhiteBuilds423 do it is incredibly entertaining. In what might be the funniest video we’ve seen all year, the dynamic duo decide to take the “windows down” challenge to the next level. As in not only taking the top off their Jeep Wrangler, but also the doors. Because why not? But hey, at least they wear goggles to protect their eyes from that weird gooey stuff. Safety first!

Before they even roll in, the driver quips “this is the worst decision I’ve ever made in my life.” Heck, we don’t even know the guy, but we have to agree. Still, the pair seem to actually enjoy themselves. At least they can’t stop giggling like a bunch of little kids who just heard a naughty word. And neither can we.

Surprisingly, the Jeep comes out pretty darn clean, too. Outside of some standing water in the cup holders, everything actually turned out alright. Of course, it helped that they removed the floor plugs first. So maybe this new Jeep “top off, doors off” challenge is actually a viable thing. Next time you get your ride all muddy, swing on by and try it out. But be sure and video the whole thing so we can laugh at you, too!
