Twin-Turbo Jeep Grand Cherokee Destroys Drag Strip

Boasting over 1,000 horsepower and a plethora of electronics, this Grand Cherokee is one bad mama-jama!

Whenever you hear “Jeep” and “Grand Cherokee” in the same sentence, you probably think of everyday chores and school runs. Maybe you even think of a little off-roading. What you probably don’t think of is drag racing.

Twin-turbo Jeep Grand Cherokee.

But this footage comes to us courtesy of 1320video. It features a badass twin-turbocharged Jeep Grand Cherokee capable of smoking muscle cars and pickup trucks alike.

Under the hood is a 420 cubic inch, gen-three Hemi Stroker with massive twin-72 bullseye turbos cleanly mounted in the front bumper. The entire setup is so clean that only the dual-scoop hood and side-exit exhaust give away the Jeep’s real purpose.

During the initial interview, the owner mentions the Jeep “Makes a lot of power,” but doesn’t disclose exactly how much. Upon being probed by the video host, the owner claims that “It makes four digits all day, easy.” Judging by the video description, it either actually makes 1,000 horsepower, or there’s a lot of anecdotal evidence that it can. Either way, we love this thing!

It doesn’t take more than a couple of runs to realize just how fast this Jeep is, especially when it smokes a Mustang, another Jeep, and eventually a mean, diesel-powered Ram pickup. In all, the best the Grand Cherokee can deliver is a 9.44-second quarter-mile run at 150.13 mph.

Turn up the sound and enjoy!
