Jeep has been caught testing the four-door Wrangler numerous times. But don’t worry, the two-door model’s still coming out, and here’s your best look yet.

We’ve seen plenty of spy shots of the four-door 2018 Jeep Wrangler testing, but haven’t seen many of the two-door variant, which has remained elusive for the most part. The most recent set of spy shots, which come courtesy of Chris Doane Automotive, reveal that Jeep is actually testing the two-door SUV and that things are progressing smoothly.

The pictures reveal not one, but two Wranglers covered in a mix of both heavy and light camouflage. The front end of the SUVs are hidden away under the standard vinyl wraps, while the mid-section of the vehicles are wearing Leopard-like camo. The rear end is once again, covered in heavy-duty stuff.

While it’s difficult to say what trim the Wranglers are sporting, it’s clear to see that some of the two-door prototypes are wearing heavy-duty camouflage on their roofs, while others aren’t. Chris Doane Automotive claims that it caught pictures of various Wranglers, including hardtops and a Rubicon model with a soft top. Either way, Jeep’s done a fantastic job at covering the Wranglers up, as it’s hard to see any signs of improvements or changes over the current model.

Various rumors have hinted towards the next-gen Wrangler benefiting from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, some kind of diesel, and even a hybrid version, and all of them have us biting our nails to see what Jeep actually cooks up. According to Chris Doane Automotive, we won’t have to wait long, as production of the 2018 Wrangler will begin the last quarter of 2017.
