Jeep Tow truck

Here’s a tip for all those tow truck drivers that lurk around looking for unsuspecting vehicles to prey upon in this crazy parking world of ours: NEVER, EVER mess with a Jeep.

That’s exactly what one tow truck driver found out in Chicago recently when a seemingly harnessed Jeep drove right off the truck. After yelling repeatedly to the tower that he was inside the vehicle being towed, the Jeep driver evidently decided to just take off, as highlighted in a Chicago Tribune report.

The ordeal, captured on the YouTube video below, shows the Wrangler breaking free of the tow truck and then driving off down the street. The video, posted by Tony Marengo on March 29, has already pulled in more than 2.3 million views.

All I can say is that it’s good thing the guy was driving a Jeep, because from the sound of that landing, any other vehicle might have been left planted right where it fell off the tow truck. Of course, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend that any other Jeep owner try this if they wind up in this kind of predicament. Parking woes or not, there are plenty of better, and safer, ways to avoid a ticket.
