There’s a lot to love about the Jeep Wrangler. It’s rugged, it’s capable, and in many cases, it is just plain fun.
Even with all that goodness, there’s still one fairly large elephant in the room: the Wrangler is slow — arguably very slow. However, rest easy, Jeep lovers, because there’s nothing better to remedy this than some good ol’ American horsepower.
Trans-Dapt, a company out of Whittier, California is now making a V8 engine swap crossmember kit, which they claim streamlines the conversion process to make the whole job rather easy.
As the company says: “The simple ‘bolt to frame’ design easily installs without welding, and they are compatible with most Chevrolet small block and big block V8 engines.” However, the LT1 and LS series motors do not apply.
