Watch Mercedes Fail at Impressing Jeep Owners
Oh man, do I have the funniest video in the entire world to show you guys. Mercedes-Benz wanted to show off about how amazing their various SUVs are when the road ends. To do that, they took a dozen new SUVs and embarked on a “first ever” journey to cross an entire country without using any roads. It sounds impressive, until you realize that “country” is Britain, and not even the big part of it, just the top near Scotland. The entire trip is just 65 miles, mostly across bumpy farmland.
How in the heck is that impressive Mercedes? I mean, it took them two freaking days, for crying out loud. Even if they drove for eight hours each day, that equals a whopping four mph average speed. In other words, you could WALK across Scotland in the same amount of time it took Mercedes to drive its fleet of off-roaders.
If you want to impress the real off-roaders and expedition drivers of this world, you have to try harder than that. My grandmother could have done that trip in a stock Wrangler Sport quicker. Probably half-drunk and blindfolded to boot.
