Jeep JK Overland Build Is ‘Picture Perfect’

Jeep JK

JK Forums member buys a new Jeep, mods it, and tackles some spectacular terrain in less than a year!

Much like how your first love leaves a lasting impression, you never forget your first Jeep. Some of us have owned many over the years, others have to wait until later in life to hop behind the wheel. The latter applies to JK Forums member ttephotos, who, like many of us, has seen life get in the way of his Jeep JK Overland dreams. In this case, his stint in the military has led him all over the world. Impatient, he originally batted around the idea of buying a Jeep overseas, but ultimately decided to wait it out.

Fast forward to last spring, the OP is back in the states, but soon finds out he’s being deployed to England. Which puts him in a perfect position to finally make his Jeep JK dreams come true!

“Due to the awesome tasking, I am able to put 6k down on a Big Bear and have another 6-8k for a nice opening spree of mods! The build will be focused around overlanding and maybe even eventually living/van life when I make it stateside for a nice long road trip. I am a photographer and really enjoy the landscape aspect of things, so I will be building things out to allow me to stay on location longer. And go deeper off the beaten path to capture those sights usually only seen by a few eyes.”
