Heeper

I'm hoping to take a road trip to NW Montana week after next for some small stream trout fishing. I'm worried about current water levels due to runoff. Does anyone know whether streams in the area are currently fishable, and/or any reliable sources of information on fishability, before I decide to drive 1500 miles to find out for myself? I know about the USGS stream flow data that's available, but would also like to hear from anyone in or familiar with the area as to whether it's go or no go.
