Default 18 or 20 inch wheels and tires.

HEy folks. Just bought an 07' JK. Got a great deal on it. I'm thinking of changing the stock wheels and tires to either an 18 inch or 20 inch aftermarket wheel. What size tires do you guys think I should run that wouldn't require installing a lift kit?? I WILL be installing a lift kit sometime this year though.

I run the 18" Factory Sahara wheels.....They look nice...With no lift I wouldn't go bigger than a 33" tire.

I would not go any higher then the 18's to be honest. IMO anything bigger just looks dumb. I have 18's now and as soon as I get some extra cash I am going to 16's. Just my 2 cents

The tires are alot cheaper if you go with a smaller rim too!

My recommendation from someone who currently runs 18" rims..... DON'T get 18" rims on your Jeep. Simply for the fact that rim choices are SO much more limited than with a 17" rim it makes it complete hell trying to find rims. I looked for ages to find decent rims with decent backspace to fit my 35x12.5 R18 Toyos and still I'm unsure if they will work without having to use spacers. I honestly don't think the 18's look bad at all, so if you are really set on 18's get the 18's or 20's, just know that it greatly limits your selection of available rims to choose from. That's just what I found out anyways.

HA yeah I noticed! It will cost me less to go with 16 inch rims and new tires then it would for just the tires on the 18!

Go 20's. These guys are goofballs. The 20's look so much better.

Quick Reply: 18 or 20 inch wheels and tires.
