Jeeps are always family friendly... Topless day is where everyone in the world drops their tops on their jeeps and enjoys the sun, unless you live in NH where it's usually raining or snowing...

Not going myself, but these beach events always seem to get a really good turn out. Theoretically it is "family friendly", but you know how it is.....there's always "that guy" or "that gal", and a lot depends on the specific people your around. The beach typically tends to bring on a little drinking and that is always a big X-factor. It seems that in the past, reports from the Jeep community is that it was a great time, while reports from the non-Jeep community has a bit of a different take to it. I can see how that could be if you planned a quiet little beach trip with your family only to be overwhelmed with hundreds of jeeps throwing an event around your location. There's two sides to every coin.
