Well as you may or may not know anything worth a shit they closed in our area, a slight overreach of the good ole USFS! Ya know the less they have to keep up the less they have to actually get off their ass and do.

They've even closed Parson Branch Road in Cades Cove.....going on 3 years now for no reason at all.

Tri Cities Jeep Club has a facebook might want to touch base there, I know who they are but I don't do facebook lol

Good luck!!

Wow, it took a year for anyone to respond to this thread at all.

I had forgotten i even posted it. Really. Not a single response for a whole year?

Since I posted this thread I traded my 2016 Sport JKU for a 2017 Smoky Mountain Edition JKU.

I made it to the Jeep Invasion at Pigeon Forge this year. It was a lot of fun and I will definitely be going back for that one next year. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing as I just found out about it a couple of days before it happened. I'll be able to plan it out better for next year.

I don't do Facebook either.

Yep, it came out along with the "Chief" Edition. I think it just came out in 2017 and will be a limited run. At least that's what they are claiming but I'm not putting a whole lot of faith in that.
Considering that they are going to make the JK alongside the JL for a while the Smoky Mountain and Chief editions may continue until they end the JK run.
I really don't care about the "special editions" I just liked the equipment and the look so I bought it.
I bought a 99 TJ in Desert Sand and they claimed it would be a one year only color. Yeah right, it was a one year only color until it wasn't..lol

I like it much better than the 2016 Sport JKU I had. There's a lot to like but I especially like the 3:73's. The Sport I had just had 3:21's. The engine and tranny seem much happier with the 3:73's and I am getting better fuel mileage too.

I heard about that after it was over haha. I'm from over the mountain in Cherokee. I plan to attend this year.
