2012 towing big camper
Was wondering if our 2012 unlimited auto with no lift and factory tires could tow a 26 ft. Lightweight camper (3,700lbs) ? I know the capacity of the jeep is 3,500 but would like some input , thanks .

nice trailer
i pull a 17' hybrid (about 3000lbs) with a 2011 auto and it can be challenging, fortunately it's fairly flat where we tow....

Couple things is this the dry weight or loaded weight of the trailer? Second if it is the loaded weight it may tow it but I would be worried about a cross wind taking the trailer and the Jeep off the road. Jeeps are best suited to towing a small trailer or boat.

Beggin' for a trans fire. No way Not with a sport and stock gearing. Maybe with 4:10 , 4:88 or 5:13's not the 3:21's for sure. And if you do .. disable o.d for heaven's sake. Still flatlanding seems sketchy for me anyhow. And stock brakes with 4K ...

I wouldn't, not without mods to the Jeep - trans cooler, levelers, 7-pin, external sway control, different brake pads. I pulled once with my Rubi and I feel strongly the 3500lb limit on a stock JK is pushing it. It squats easily and although it has enough power to pull, stopping is a different story.
