Default Traded the Jeep

We traded our 2015 JK Rubicon for a brand new 2024 Chevrolet Trax 1RS.

The dealer gave us $20,000 for the Jeep with 81,000 miles and dropped the price on the Traxx to a manageable $23,800. All we did is to come up with $3,800 cash and take it home with $0 payments. The Trax is well equipped for the price and beats a lot of used cars for the price. Also has the new 3Cly Turbo with a 6 Speed Automatic, not that crappy CVT. Gives 28 MPGs on city, combined 30 and 32 on the highway.

Since my daughter is going to the University, it is the perfect vehicle and is under factory warranty.

Probably a much safer and more reliable vehicle to have your kid in. Congrats.

Thanks.

We kind of hated to see the Jeep go, there was nothing wrong with it. The biggest motivation for the trade was the MPGs and Factory Warranty. If some goes wrong, all she need to do is to take it to the dealer. Plus the chances of some yo-yo steals her vehicle are lower; the Jeep is a bigger target.

Anyway, I will be in the look out for another Jeep and I have the gut feel, that will be plenty good deals in the future. One thing that I have to say on the Jeep, is that they hold value pretty darn well. Without that we would not be able to get that deal.

Believe it or not, Chrysler really lowballed us on the Jeep. Another Chevy dealer really insulted us on the trade value. We simply walked off; I told the dude, "I will wrap a red bow and say Merry XMax." The other Chevy dealer, right out of the bat said $20,000, Military Discount $500 on the Trax and $2,000 off for buying new and 1st time purchase for my daughter. The car was fresh out of the port on the trasporter.

By the way, the Trax is build in Korea, I believe is made in the former Daewoo plant. Will see how good this car is, Koreans came a long way with their car manufacturing.

An interesting detail is that GM added an electric motor to the Turbo. I believe is not an "Electric Blower", is more of an starter to prevent Turbo Lag. Funny is, I had that idea back in the 80s about attaching an electric motor to a turbo with a Sprag Clutch to get the turbo started from low RPMs.

I could not agree more. This was a very good move for the current and future need.

Good for now I guess and you will miss the Jeep if you wheeled with it. But all the best in finding another

We do miss the Jeep, I am not going to lie about it. We could not deny the factors that drove the decision. In the way things are going, I pretty much sure that we are going to find one newer and at a better price.

Thanks for sharing the pictures, it is so beautiful and yes, it is safe for your daughter. I have earned money by playing online real-money games. And this https://casinosanalyzer.com/casino-bonuses/hellspin.com website helped me in finding those sites where I can find Hellspin bonus code and can use them to make more money. If you also need money to buy that car then I will also recommend you to visit the given link where you will find those sites through which you can make a lot of money and also you can read reviews of those sites before playing games over there.

I never rely on cars to be safe - I use my instincts and always treat others on the road like they want to kill me. Driving is different nowadays and when I flew a plane during training we were always taught "fly the aircraft" under all situations. Vehicles are simply the same - when driving "drive the car" and you will probably live forever doing that. Worst thing I ever see is drivers talking to passengers and looking at them - they got two ears you don't have to look at them. Sorry for the rant but lets get rid of AB brakes, adaptive cruise, lane change warnings etc etc and get people driving properly again with every 5 year driving tests.
