Just curious if anyone else has their kids riding in battery powered Jeeps? I'm getting my girls prepared for when they get old enough to drive a real Jeep. I modified a Jeep Hurricane to 18 Volts instead of the stock 12 volts. Took it back to the creek to test it out. Oh and I got to test out my new gopro camera. Here is the Video

I haven't yet...but I will be doing the 24v conversion this summer. Did you upgrade the plastic gears to steel as well?

HAHA! Nope, but it sure looks good!

Here is an easy way to bump it from 12 volts up to 18 volts (5mph to 7 mph) :

Sweet. So are you going to use a 24 volt scooter controller, throttle, and motor? Haven't done 24 volts yet. Probably will do that this Summer. Right now I am using the stock plastic gears on 18 volts. Works pretty good, but they eventually strip out. Metal gears would be nice but I haven't tried that

I added 5W white CREE LEDs to the headlights and 1W red CREEs to the rear, tied into a terminal block and switched on the dash. It really lights up the night and makes the kids very visible during dusk hours.

Never bought one, but I would. I modified my weed whacker and leaf blower. Shaved the head, opened up the carb, intake and exhaust.

If it has a motor, it's intended to be modified. Electric or Dino driven.

Cool - I have been meaning to do some light mods on them. Add that to the list of mods
