Default Marble Head/Drummond Island

Hey everyone!

Im planning a trip to Drummond island this august with a few people, and im not quite sure yet where to go. Im having difficulty finding information/maps on the marble head trail. Is is well marked? The plan is to run the marble head trail and check out shale beach. Ive heard lots about wheeling on the island and would most definitely be willing to see as much of it as we can in a couple few days. Some of the guys are coming all the way from New Brunswick, but most are from Petawawa Ontario, so we want to make the ride worth while!

Anyone have maps or half decent knowledge of the area?
Will we need to purchase ORV passes?
Tips on good trails in the area?

Hopefully we make this happen and earn our first badge!! If anyone is interested in joining along the way, just PM me!

I'd like to head up there sometime to check it out, as well. I'm subscribed to see what info you get. Looks like it would be a beautiful place to wheel!

The area is pretty well marked. There are maps available on the island also Gia GPS might help also. Cell service is nonexistent on the east side of the island and your phone will try to connect internationally. The great thing about the island is it's pretty small and you really can't get too lost. A few tips for you though. Don't take on the tank traps without help near by they are deep and will swallow a Jeep with no issues. The island is rock so most wet areas are not an issue (except the tank traps) it may look like you are driving down a river at connors hole but it's hard bottom just keep swimming. There are so many other trails to hit including turtles ridge. Fossil ledges is a nice ride too. Enjoy and bring bug spray.
