are you sure that december is the right time(maybe march or july)but you know better...

I know december isnt the best time to go but I dont think it is a bad time (it will be summer there). It was the only time my wife could get the time off work since we are going over christmas and new years.

A buddy of mine went last year with his daughter. They had a good time and also made it to the top. Pm me and I will put you in touch.

I did it back a few years ago...summited right at sunrise on Christmas morning. It's a great time to go...the weather should be perfect!

I'd love to ascend the majors on each continent.
My wife thinks I'm nuts.

I see a tree, cliff, wall, or mountain and want to climb it.
It's a compulsion that's still alive and well after 41 years on this planet.

Fuji this summer.

Yup.......I plan on doing a sheep hunt this Aug. if I can get in shape. Even when I was young it pretty much maxed me out. Want to try it at least one more time before I can't anymore....

Totally agree! I lived in Japan for three years and I climbed Fuji every one of them. I'm going to start knocking out the 14'ers here before I go back over seas.

I did it 1995 in December it was one of the greatest moments in my life look the sunrise over the Savanna from the top of Africa. But 15 Jears ago there was more snow on top of the kili:bleh:

Call me crazy, but I went up twice in 2 weeks. (Yoshida and Subashi trails)
I would have gone back for a 3rd, but couldn't find someone else going (driving) when I had time free.
Back home now, internal clock all jacked.

The Koko Head crater hike this spring was but a pale warmup for Fuji, although I found the thin, cool air at altitude to be more to my liking than sea level.
