Hi, I’ll be out in the wilderness in the Northern parts of Kruger. So I wanted to buy a portable 9000- 12000 BTU air conditioner to cool my tent in case the temperatures get too hot (more so at night), but I hear they’re noisy. I love my night sleep, hope it won’t ruin everything for me? Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Heeeeey relax! Mine doesn’t sound too loud, unless you plan to buy a used or very old version. I use a Dimplex 9000 BTU and like most recent versions of portable ACs it isn’t as noisy as some old types.

Go ahead and make that purchase, you won’t regret it (but you’ll hate camping if you travel without it). It will ensure you get more sleep in a cooler place.
