Please share some of the points to look for you mentioned. I would be curious to know more about what differentiates these products.

I have a Tepui Kukenam. It's awesome. I rolled my trailer and the tent still works. Their customer service is great. I picked mine up from their shop in Santa Cruz. You can't go wrong with their tents.

Just ordered the CVT, Mt. Shasta. Should be in next week, now I just have to get my Gobi rack. That will hopefully be in next week also.

Default Roof Rack & RTT

Two things--- a quality roof rack and then match this with a quality roof top tent. My choice, especially for the JK is a FrontRunner rack and an Eezi-Awn tent. You pay a little more, but like everything else-- you get what you pay for and both of these companies are at the top of their games!

I run Ironman. I have used it multiple times without any failure. Here is a pic on my other vehicle.

Always happy to find a good thread! I just bought a 4x6 utility trailer that I am about to start building and was trying to decide what RTT to go with.

I have the Smitty Overlander and love it. Never had any problems whatsoever through wind, rain etc. Great tent.

Good info here, I have just been looking into rooftop tents myself recently.

It seems like the Ursa Minor top/tent is quality, albeit pretty expensive. Anyone have any experience/thoughts on that top?

You can't beat the price of a Smittybilt. I watched several "1 year review" youtube videos and everybody seems pretty happy with the durability. Due to my budget, that is what I bought. Looking forward to using it as soon as the schedule and forecasts align.
