looks like it's clutch time at 74000 miles, smelt and felt it slipping a bit going up the 4 lane yesterday, then coming back down out of Shaver ....thinking I might attempt the job myself ( I did my Toyota clutch a long long time ago was an easy job) don't feel like shelling out over a grand to have it done.

 

That sucks Greg , when r u going to change it and what clutch , r there any aftermarket ones out there

well, took it to a shop by work today, was told the clutch feels fine,he said maybe the CAT was getting too hot?....??? hmmm.. so I guess that 's good news, I guess I'll drive it until something gives

yeah me too, he said maybe a brake caliper stuck a bit making it rub... I guess until it goes out all the way I will never know, he didn't want to do the work then find out it was not the problem..makes sense...I guess oh well..money saved...this time

The brakes, I have read a few times on the forum that people HAVE in fact had a problem with calipers sticking and brakes rubbing, going to replace brakes soon anyways , will check out things then

 

Well my employer now has all the shops on one server. They are using Sonic Wall and slowly eliminating all the social sites and forums. So no more checking in during the day.
