Doorless Jeep
Hey, does anyone know the laws regarding mirrors on a doorless jeep in ontario?
is there a law? and where in the GTA, preferable mississauga where i can i get some nice ones for a good price. any help is appreciated!!!!! |
I believe you only need 1 mirror and the rearview mirror will suffice for that. I picked up some bicycle mirrors from crappy tire for six bucks. It's about a 4x4 mirror and it just slides down through the door hinge and bolted up from the bottom. Works great.

Yes, the law states that you only need one rearward facing mirror in a vehicle. As long as your rearview isn't obstructed, you will be fine. I've driven past cops many times with my doors off, and never a problem.

Love my Harley mirror. I got two and put one on the passenger side lower hinge to help when backing into the garage and seeing the blind spot that people like to drive in.

In the states you're required to have a minimum of 2... doesn't matter if it's the rearview + drivers side, or both driver & passenger side minus rearview... just so long as you have 2 (not that applicable to your original post, but FYI in case you cross the border into US).

no problems
i was followed by the O.P.P. yesterday for a good ten minutes and saw him "checking" me out with no doors on. He never pulled me over and i have not had a problem for the past 3 years. If you are looking for the best ones get the dietech offroad ones. Great reviews!

I've never had an issue with the Crappy tire bicycle mirror in the hinge.
I have the Mopar mirror relocation brackets, but cannot get the mirror out of the bottom part that bolts to the door. |
