Default Best Hard Boiled Egg, Help!

Hey everyone....now that the semester is pretty much over I'm hittin' the gym hard to build up a little for summer so I'm adjusting my diet. Anybody know the best way to hard boil eggs? I just bought 5 dozen at grocery outlet and it seems like everyone says to do something different? In the past a start w/ cold water, bring to a boil for 5 min, remove form heat for ten min and dunk in ice water...but they tend to crack alot? How do you do it??

Some people say add vinegar for that same reason. I have plenty of salt though so I'll try that. Yea I like hard boiled cause you don't have to fridge them really so I can take a few with me to go and their a really high quality protein. Your body only absorbs around 40g protein at a time so it's best to eat constantly throughout the day rather than huge amounts 3x a day...but not to change the subject haha I will try salt thanks.

The best way is to boil a pot of water, take it off the heat, then add eggs for 30 min. No odd smell and perfect eggs.

If you're in the high country go about fifteen. I start with the eggs in cold water. That's usually because they've been in the fridge for a while. After fifteen I put the whole pot under the faucet and run cold water in the pot until it displaces all the boiling stuff stopping the cooking process..

huh never tried the spinning test I'll investigate. I did 2 dozen today and they turned out good....put in pot with cold water, brought to boil, turned off heat let sit for 17 min then dumped in ice water.

Just buy some egg and whey protein and throw it in the blender for 30 seconds
saves time.
