2016 ABS shot -Wheel speed sensor, tranny in limp mode HELP PLEASE!

Hello everyone,

I am looking for some guidance on a nightmare ABS and front right wheel speed sensor issue with my 2016 Jeep Wrangler JK Sport Unlimited that has recently triggered limp mode, preventing the transmission from shifting.

Here is the breakdown of the situation:

The Core Issue: My ABS module originally went out three years ago, but the vehicle still drove completely fine without it. Recently, the front right wheel speed sensor popped a code. As soon as this happened, the Jeep went into limp mode and the transmission stopped shifting.
Attempted Fixes: I have tried a few afrter market speed sensors, none worked. Pulling fuses and performed multiple hard resets looking to cuit off power from units sending the signals, but nothing has cleared the issue or pulled the transmission out of limp mode. I then bought an old sensor off ebay and it worked. for two days before going back into limp mode. Now I�m also seeing the engine light is on with the ABS brake and so on.
The Parts Dilemma: I fortunately have a bumper-to-bumper lifetime warranty on this vehicle. However, the dealership is currently claiming that they cannot acquire a replacement ABS module or the necessary speed sensor due to availability issues.

I am looking for advice on two fronts:

Diagnostic/Scanner Recommendations: Can anyone recommend a reliable chep OBD2 scanner with a Bluetooth hookup that is highly effective for reading and clearing these specific Jeep ABS/wheel codes and perm codes?
Warranty/Parts Leverage: Has anyone dealt with dealerships claiming parts are entirely unavailable for lifetime warranty repairs, and are there specific avenues or part alternatives I can push for to get this resolved? will they cover cost not at a dealer?

Any insights or technical advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm in Dunedin FL is anyone knows a local spot.

2007 JKU - Intermittent (ETC) Electronic Throttle Control light

The ETC indicator on my dash lights intermittently. Throttle response falls off, resets when I restart. I have spent $2,500+ on mechanics, always comes back. May come on twice in a block or once in 1K miles???? Any guidance?

Rear main, upper oil pan, or valve cover

I�ve got a 2010 6 speed I just recently got and I�ve got a small oil seep. It doesn�t leak much at all but I�m trying to narrow down between the 3 leaks. Most my experience is older v8s so my question is does this look more like rear main, upper oil pan, or valve cover gaskets before I start cleaning and looking for new oil. I�m leaning more towards the rear main/upper oil pan in combination

Jeep Wrangler JK ABS Module Failure and Backorder Issue

Got an email from the JK Owners Forum on May 6, 2026. A petition has been started regarding the JK ABS module failures, demanding resolution from Stellantis. I am adding the link at the bottom of this thread in case any of you would like to add your name.

My Mopar warranty expired April 12, 2026. I'd been attempting to get a replacement since well before my 2022 original post on Wrangler Forum. I spoke to the dealership again two weeks before the warranty expiration date. I got a return call one day before the warranty expired. I was told that I'd have to take my jeep to them the next morning, which was the date of the warranty expiration, or there would be nothing they could do to help me. Also, I was told that the replacement ABS module would be a salvage module and I would have to okay it. I did okay the salvage module for replacement. However, it was not possible for me to get the jeep to them for three more days. They told me they had to have the jeep immediately or the warranty would no longer cover the replacement, and I would be stuck with a bad ABS module. Which is where I am today, May 12, 2026

2015 JKU, replaced rocker arms, oil cooler, spark plugs, thermostat housing, and temp sensor, started up, engine sounded good, threw a p0390 and p0394. Checked and noticed I forgot to plug in driver side cam sensor, plugged it back in and p0390 went away. I still have P0394 code up, I swapped sensors from side to side and code still stays the same, with bank 2. Recently I tore driver side valve cover back off, but did not find anything wrong internally which I didn�t think there was. I�m leaning toward a broken wire or something with wiring but I can�t find anything yet, have 5 volts and ground to cam sensor plug, and continuity to ecu.

At this point I�m stumped�Anyone have any ideas or recommendations? Thanks!

Had this 2015 wrangler Willy�s for 5 years. Recently started having ABS issues. Now Speedo not working and won�t leave first gear. Has code that comes up immediately when reset. U0121. Google suggested starting with check fuses and found this jumper in fuse block in what it says is the abs pump/esb spot. Followed it around and it goes across the fire wall and then through the firewall near the booster and and the goes under drivers side floor mat area.
