saturday i was thinking bout goin out to rampart range. 106.7 KBPI is teaming up with stay the trail to do some trail clean up in the morning and then wheel and ride in the afternoon. I know theres not much for wheelin in rampart but figure i should do my part to help keep trails open.:dontknow2:

Join the KBPI family the following weekend on Saturday October 10th. We will be working with Stay The Trail to clean up Rampart Range and make it possible for off roaders to continue to enjoy our natural resources they way they should be enjoyed, with a 4x4 and a winch! StayTheTrail.org

Located in the Pike-San Isabel National Forest about 35 miles southwest of Denver are more than 100 miles of trail for off-road motorcycles and ATVs. This area is known as the Rampart Range Motorized Recreation Area. The Rampart Range Motorized Management Committee, Inc. (RRMMC) is an all-volunteer, nonprofit corporation founded in 1972 to work with the US Forest Service to promote and preserve the riding opportunities in the Rampart Range. The South Platte Ranger District of the USDA Forest Service and the RRMMC have successfully worked together maintaining the trail system for over 35 years.

Join us for fun and fellowship maintaining the trails in the morning and then ride in the afternoon. Bring work boots, gloves and water. We have the rest of the tools. Meet at 9am Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the entrance to Flatrocks Campground.

Directions:
Go south on US - 85 (Santa Fe) to Sedalia, CO. At Sedalia, turn west on Hwy 67 proceed 10 miles to Rampart Range Road. Head south 4.7 miles South to the Flatrocks Campground and Trailhead Parking area.

Thanks to Clifton of American Rock Rods, the Moab KOA and Stay The Trail for helping make this happen.

The trees at the T-33 Plane Crash site are tight and it seems that body damage would be very likely if there's any snow.

There's another run for Metberry Gulch posted for Sunday here,

Good luck

Thanks! Seems like everyone wants to run Sunday, but my "kitchen pass" is for Saturday only...:naw:

I am up for a Saturday run... I am in SW Littleton, where do you have in mind? It sounds like the one you mentioned has very close trees with likely body damage:sad2:

I'm up for anything...got anything you want to try?

Marine 10-09-2009 07:34 PM

I say lets try the crash site...I PM'd you my phone number. Just know that I have a stock 4dr JK Rubicon with no winch. My TJ has a winch and 35's but it is down as my control arm bushing on the rubicon express control arm is destroyed and the one I have ordered to replace it won't be in until monday.

I do however, have many friends that can help us out if we get into trouble.

Give me a call and we can head out!!

Anyone else want to join in just PM!
