Hey Unfair
How much snow did you get up there this winter? I would have thought you had more than Peoria did.
Any wheeling action up there?

Well, not entirely sure of the cumulative amount, but I do know a few weeks ago, we managed to get about 24 inches in a day.. With another 10 on top of that over the following few days. All I know is the guy with the plow was doing an excessive amount of b*tchin'. You figure he'd be thrilled at the financial gain of record breaking snow!

Unfortunately there's virtually no wheeling potential up here.
There used to be a place in Coralville, IA, a buddy of mine always told me amazing stories about the ORV park there. Sadly, they closed it off to full sized vehicles now, and I never did get the opportunity to go there.

But, there's really nothing in these parts, quite sad really.
Hell, I'd drive a fair distance to have some fun!

Default Wheeling

The wheeling is about the same down here as well. I have been slowly investigating closed/abandon/mud roads, other private 4X4 clubs, went to the Cliffs once, want to go to the Badlands, and Hannibal Rocks. I have been out once the FJ Cruisers and once with the Overlanders. I am going to Tellico at the end of the month on vacation. It is tough to find places to wheel. My family has some land in Iowa but it mostly fields and such that I have run around on when the crops are out.

Yea, there's some interesting places I've been advised to check out in central Iowa. I just wish I had a friend to buddy-system through some of the places. I'm adventurous enough to try and tackle things alone, but there have been a few times where my own stupidity has gotten the best of me .

But I've only had my JK since October 1st of last year, so all I've really gotten to experience with it is insane amounts of snow. I'm now back and forth trying to decide what I want to dump money into first...
