JK or JL Time Sensitive
#12
I was really psyched about the JL, even joined the JL forum, but something about the first year, price and (from what I kept reading on those forums) production delays, especially on 2 doors - lack of colors that I’m really into- just made me pull the trigger on a SWEET 2018 JK Willy’s 2 door instead.
I spent thousands less for so much more extras and capability than what I’d have even gotten had I gone with a 2 door JL sport or sport S with a fraction of the options and capability.
Motorworld in Wilkes-Barre PA cut me a deal I couldn’t turn down and only a 2 hour drive from where I live in Northwestern NJ
Just my opinion, but I’m very satisfied with my choice.
maybe in a few years when the bugs are all worked out on the JL’s , I’ll be taking another look.
but this is pretty sweet

Not a fan of what they did to the directionals on the JL. I didn't like it on the TJ either. I was a YJ guy back in the day and was happy to see them move the directionals back to the grill when the JK came out. The turbo diesel should be killer though.

Bought the JK for some of the same reasons as others posted on here plus I like the look of the JK better than the JL. My husband told me to buy what I wanted with all the features so no regrets and that's what is best for everyone. Of course, the fact that they were deeply discounting the JK's left over from 2017 in 2018 made the decision even easier for me.

2018 Jeep Rubicon Recon!
This past late December I visited my local dealer to see the value of my 2016 Hardrock. I read so much about the 2017-2018 Jeep Rubicon Recon. The dealer contacted 10 or so different dealers and also contacted FCA about the availability of the Recon. I looked at the 2018 Jeep JL Rubicon which looked great, but I really wanted a Recon. To my suprise my dealer located a 2018 Recon. with all the features except no Navigation or Alpine. But did come with Color matched Roof and optional Soft top included. Never hesitated for a second and traded my Hardrock in for the 2018 Rubicon Recon. My Recon tackles hills like a tank> I plan to keep this one!! A month later I ordered and installed Kicker speaker. Found out my Recon was built in late December 2017. Glad I made the choice and saved a bundle.
