Tires?
 

K i have a lot of Qs about things. i just like to kno what every one thinks. but any way im getting some new tires for my YJ. I cant decide between BFG mudders for $779, those jenaric wildcat mud terrains that les swab sells for $779, and a set of baja claws with black steel rims for $749. Im not sure what would be best for were im at. I live in ellensburg washington so in the summer its hills and dirt and in the winter an spring its hills and snow and mud. I have had the wildcats on a pickup and i liked em but they wore out fast. My dad swears by BFG. And the Baja claw comes with wheels. I heard the claw slides on hills easy but i dont know if thats true. so yea any help on that would help. im getting 31 by 10.5 to 12.5 because i have a two inch lift so i dont want them to rub my fenders. thnx any help would be great

I run good year MT/Rs; but i also only run 2200 miles / year... and 2000 of that is off the road... lol...

i like 'em...

u have a lot of choice, but cheap is not one of them, they are the ONLY part of your rig touching the ground... they can make a huge diff on and off road...

I've got BFG MTR's, they're great, better then expected. I've already put alot of miles on them and they aren't as worn as most people's mud terrains are.

i would stay away from bfg km's but not sure on others. I had those on the rubicon and after 20k they sucked on dry pavement and lost a little bit of grip off road. I have firestone mt's on my fj cruiser now, and there quite nice in the snow better than the bfgs and they had a bit better wear reviews.

I'm not familiar with BFG MTR's...I have Goodyear MTR's on my TJ.

sean you dont have bfg do you i think good year makes youre tire correct me if im wrong?

Sorry, they are BFG's and I was told they were called MTR but I think they are something like T/A or something like that, I just know they are good mud terrains with descent wear.

Shouldn't you be on a fj cruiser forum?

Easy, killer! I'm sure he IS on an FJ forum... but he owned a JK before, and several of us here wheeled with him back when he had his JK - he's a good guy and I give him permission to stay. ;)
