I'm going to look at a '94 grand Cherokee tomorrow. 5.2 auto full time 4wd. 129000 miles. Asking 2k. Anything in particular I should check that may not already be aware of?

If it's lifted, check the front drive shaft. The angle is usually too much for the stock ZJ drive shaft.

It's stock. As far as I know the strategic things to check would be so see how the trans performs and how it's fluid looks, make sure the engine runs and sounds good and that the oil isn't black, ensure the 4wd is working. Check all electronics, make sure fan is turning. Anything else?

Yeah check the 4wd in each setting. My ZJ worked fine in 4 hi but 4 lo would grind and wound up having to get a whole new T case
