We have done several XJ/MJ swaps with LS engines, they run great but are tight. We did this MJ(Commanche) many years ago and had to be registered in California. It got a 5.3 with a 4l60, AC, Cruise Control, functional gauges..... The exhaust for California was fun, three large converters along with the driveshaft, uni-body, suspension, and axle made it as tight as a Mini-Cooper. This MJ has been on the road in California for about 6 years now. We just finished a XJ for a guy in NV with a Gen IV 5.3, 6l80, AC, tapshift, cruise control...............

I'm planning on doing this swap with my 01 XJ. What oil pan and accessory drive did you use on the LS?

what type of shocks & coil springs you are using as i am running xj with vortec v8 and RC 4.5 lift kit
