I said OLDER , not OLD, LOL! Older as in not one of the kids .
Kinda like the story of the 2 jeeps one fresh outta school , the other had been there, done that, sitting up on the hill looking down at the trails. The young jeep says, lets haul ass down there and run one of those trails! The more seasoned jeeps looks over and says, lets take our time and drive em ALL !!!!!
That's what I'm talking about!

LOL - I was thinking the same thing (who you calling old, old man???). I'm 42 and this is my first personal Jeep. I was raised around Jeeps of all shapes and sizes, and finally succumbed to parent/sibling peer pressure and picked up a JKU.

Just turned 48 and feel as young as my body lets me... so other than the daily newfound white hair that I like to call Chrome and the occasional back pain , I feel like a champ!!! Been driving Jeeps since late 1986 where I got my first 1987 Yj, and then moved onto another Yj 1990, then a1996 Xj, 1999 Tj.

Moved to Land Rover and Volvo, before coming back to Jeeps with my 10A.

I'm 48, got my first Jeep at 46, my black JKUR that I call Brett. Only other Jeeping experience I had was learning to drive stick in high school with my dad's '62 Willys wagon. Picking up my second JK tomorrow, a billet 2 door Rubi X.

Not overstating to say that getting into Jeeping changed my entire life. I have made some amazing friends and gone places and done things with my Jeep friends that I never would have experienced otherwise.

I'm 61, bought my 2010 JKU to help me get to all the fishing and canoeing spots I hope to hit during retirement, not really into mods, I think it's fine as is for long road trips with camping at the other end. My first new vehicle was a 78 CJ 7 that I bought after the blizzard of 1977, and got passed by a pair of CJs that were out playing in the snow. About 5 years ago I had a 46 CJ2A that looked great, but was too slow to trust on public roads, so I sold it.

68, bought my 2011 2dr. Rubi in Oct. 2010. 2.5 AEV, 285/70/17 MTR's, stock rims, 1.5 spacers, rockhard oil pan, transfer case, gas tank skids, poisonspydr. evap skid, Cobra 75 CB, AEV air intake, JEEP hood lock. Ran my first trail at All-4-Fun last year, Leadville, Colo. Not knowing for sure jumped right in and picked Chinamans Gulch. Little intense at times but, I had no problems. Good people on that trip and good help spotting. That might be have the trick right there. Will go to another one in 2014! USNAVY SEABEES MCB11 "63-65". Retired, bass fishing, hunting, taking it easy, enjoying life with family and friends.
