All of the previously mentioned, AND the fact thats Jeeps are instantly recognized, whether 1941 vintage, or the present. No guessing "what is that", in any Country, or any Time.
There is Only One.

I'm an avid outdoorsman. I backpack a lot in the summer and hunt elk in the early fall. I love being able to get to trails others can't, or get higher into the wilderness for back country hunting. I had a Land Rover before I got my JK, and it did ok, but I don't have a worry at all with me Jeep. Flooded roads, mud, rocks, what ever the angry weather gods want to throw at me I can always get where I'm going. And I'm still running stock everything!

I'm an 80s baby...so we didn't have game consoles to keep us in the house for hours. So I stayed outside playing with everything from my Big Wheeler to the hard metal Tonka trucks in the sand pits, to running wild thru the tic-infested woods of North Carolina....Nothing gives me that inner child than riding in my '14JKUAlt w/the doors & roof off in either sun or rain!!!

For me the love of jeeps started back a few years ago. I had a Yukon and that was all wheel drive but lacking the excitement factor of fun to drive and customize to my style. Wanted something different. Then I picked up a large motor home and needed a towable vehicle. Traded the Yukon for a TJ. It needed a lot of work and corrected all the issues. Then modified it so it was easy to hook up and tow. This TJ was high mileage and stripped, so long road trips were a bit much. Picked up a VW GTI and that was my summer vehicle. Fun to drive but stored for the winters. With the terrible NY roads decided to trade in the VW and purchased a JKUR HR. Now Life is good. My TJ has become my wife's jeep and the towable vacation toad. The JK is my DD and hopefully my camping rig out west.

I love the fact that its a convertible, AND the doors are removable. The freedom is exhilarating. Most of the time I get the "Well THIS is a bit disconcerting" when I have first time passengers in the Jeep w/the doors off. lol Even hardened bikers. Kinda makes me laugh.
I also LOVE the way you can be "self contained" in a Jeep............sports cars can go fast...............and motorcycles can corner.............but we..............WE can go ANYWHERE and have EVERYTHING with us when we do it. That "unstoppable" feeling is pretty great.
If you want a 4x4 WITH the ability to take the top off, the Wrangler is IT. It really is in a class of its own. As was mentioned earlier in the thread most ALL Jeep Wrangler based rigs, even back to 1941 are instantly recognizable, and even little kids seem to recognize there is something special about a Jeep.
That Jeep wave is pretty unique too...........I know of NO other class of vehicles you can buy off a dealer lot, that gets the same camaraderie, passion and connection with their owners.

I first fell in love with Jeeps when on my first date. The guy picked me up driving a Jeep, at the time I couldn't tell you what model it was but I now know it was a 1993 YJ. Over the years I have known only guys to have Jeeps and always wanted one. When we would go camping I would take the jeeps out because my 2wd truck couldn't go where they could. It was always a blast!
I wrecked my last 2wd SUV about a month and a half ago. Last week I purchased my first (ALL MINE) 2016 JKUS. I love that after a long day at work I can put the top down and enjoy the gorgeous NC weather. I don't really like the heat and I try and stay out of the sun (I am a ginger) but dang if I won't get sunburned for that feeling of the top down!
I love that my husband, our two dogs and all our gear can pack up and go anywhere we want now! Yes I am in love!
