Default Thanks RockHard 4X4 & JK-Forum for the Awesome Skids!!

A big shout out to both RockHard 4X4 and jk-forum to say thanks for the skid system! I have desperately needed some sort of skid protection for quite a while, and I was lucky enough to be the winner of last month’s contest. I was pretty excited to say the least. RockHard sent these things out within a day or so, and it was like Christmas in September when they arrived at my door maybe 9 days after the contest drawing. I didn’t waste much time getting them on. I’d say the hardest part was removing my old gas skid and banging it back in to shape before installing the new skid system. It really made me wish I had protected that from the very beginning. Anyhow, all the new skids installed pretty easily and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been wheelin’ a couple of times since installing them, but have yet to really put them to the test. That said, there I have a lot more peace of mind. Hopefully heading back out in a couple weeks and should be able to get a few better shots with the skids on some rocks, but wanted to get a thread started anyhow that I can update with additional pictures along the way.

A few pictures of scraping that piece of junk factory gas skid on the rocks along with what the jeep currently looks like -

I ran out to Barnwell Mountain Recreational Area in Gilmer, TX for the 2016 Crawl for a Cure. Didn't get many pictures, but here are a couple shots from Sunday Cruise. If you look closely, you can see the full skid system from the rear . I kind of missed the line...LOL. Also just a quick shot at Northwest OHV Park in Bridgeport, TX while wheeling with a few forum members after the DFW meet and greet.

Hopefully heading down to Hidden Falls in Marble Falls, TX in a couple weeks, and planning to get a few scratches on these skids! I'll try to get a few good pictures and post them up too.

Again, I can't thank you enough RockHard and JK-Forum!

Made a run down to Hidden Falls Adventure Park new Marble Falls, TX this weekend. I didn't really snag the poser photo op that I was wanting, but here are a few quick ones from the trip. I will say that I now longer dread hearing that bottom scraping along a rock....in fact, the peace of mind of having these skids makes it a lot more enjoyable! I might have to head back to Hot Springs to really give these things a workout, but it was nice to get a few scrapes on them this weekend!
