What do you take into account when buying winter tires?
While the temperatures are rising to slightly more tolerable levels in the Midwest, the snow is also falling with more frequency and fervor. At Atturo Tire, we're wondering: what is the No. 1 thing you look for when buying after-market tires for winter weather? Let us know in the comments below! #GoYourOwnWay

The mountain snowflake symbol. In my state, and in general, that's what will almost always legally avoid having to carry chains. It's also means the tire passed an independent approved traction testing regime rather than just marketing claims.

High silica compounds make for sticky tires in the cold and wet. Are you getting some wear tests done on these (relatively) lighter vehicles so we can have some kind of guarantee like with the reliability of a BFG or the assurance of Falken's 55k mile warranty, or even Goodyear's 30 day trial period?
