Does anyone out there have a CB antenna mounted on the right side or the left side in the vicinity of the D pillar? I don't really want to drill into the body but have no issue with drilling into plastic. The tire carrier mounts will not work for me and nether will the front bumper. I've seen a few Jeeps mounting them on the corner of the rear stock bumper and one mounted to the license plate carrier but have not gotten a close look on how this was accomplished. To my knowledge no one makes any kit or mount bracket for this location. ( They make a tail light mount but that is just for YJ's) A close up picture would be great, but help of any kind would be appreciated.

The license plate mount is really a common application, I'm surprised you hadn't seen one.

Think it will go between the rear door and tail light.

I have a Ham ant near that spot so that won't work for me but may for the OP.

What about using a simple L bracket and mounting to one of the tailgate hinge bolts?

I have mine mounted on the driver's side of my front window frame. No drill, uses all existing holes. Works great for my application.
