CB custom Sordin Headset

Hello all this is my first post here on JK Forum. Im going to buy a midland CB radio and I have this idea of taking a MSA Sordin replica headset (Z tactical airsoft) and a PTT system and wiring it to use with my CB radio. I have two options either cut the connector and replace it with a 4 pin and try and make everything work or use the mic that comes with the CB and removing the guts and playing ghetto doctor and swapping out the one in the Sordin replica. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

First of all Welcome to JK Forum.
It sounds kind of neat but I don't know if I could take the noise on most channels right in my ear.
It would be cool on trail runs with the top off, and the squelch up.

My thought process was more for road trips with the top down and doors off so I could hear and communicate with others. I also found a triple selection PTT that I could connect to the CB my Phone and another headset for the passanger

Not sure you need to splice or anything. This looks sort of weak for wind noise but could be a starting point

I would probably take that cable and wire it to a nicer headset.

I'm not gonna lie. If I saw a wrangler with their top down and the guy driving is wearing an MSA Sordin headset or a knock-off air-soft headset, I'm immediately thinking this....

There's plenty of options for going that route but to really be cool throat mics are the way to go! Not only do they give you the Seal Team Six look they also work best in topless operations. A quick search should give you a variety of options to choose from, most of which come with plug and play (no need to cut anything but the packaging). Even if you go with a traditional headset/mic there's plenty of ways to plug in without cutting up and rewiring things.
